June Gwee, Principal Researcher and Faculty Member at the Civil Service College, Singapore

June Gwee is Principal Researcher and Faculty Member at the Civil Service College, Singapore. She is also Senior Research Fellow at the Asian Business Case Centre in the Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Her research interests include the creative industries, strategy, innovation and narrative techniques. Besides research, she conducts writing programmes and coaches writers on case writing.

Some of her publications are ’Art and Design for Strategic Management’ (Saarbrucken: Akademikerverlag, 2008), ’Innovation and the Creative Cluster’ (Australia: Innovation Management, Policy and Practice, 2009) and ’Re-designing the Service Experience’ (Singapore: Ethos, 2010). She is also the editor of ’Case Studies in Public Governance: Building Institutions in Singapore’ (UK: Routledge, 2012). She is currently working on a new book ”Case Studies: Building Communities in Singapore’ and a paper on Singapore’s cultural policy.

She received a PhD in Visual Arts from the University of Sydney for her research on design management. She has a MSc in International Marketing from the University of Strathclyde and a BA in English Literature and Economics from the University of Calgary.
